OPPO Licenses Cellular Standard-Essential Patents to Verifone

June 26, 2026—OPPO today announced it signed a patent licensing agreement with Verifone, a leading global payments technology company. That patent license agreement authorizes Verifone to integrate OPPO's cellular standard-essential patents to enhance user experiences for its point-of-sales payment devices.

This agreement underscores the accelerating adoption of OPPO's cellular standard-essential technologies beyond the smartphone sector, marking a significant expansion into commercial IoT and financial hardware environments.

As of March 2026, OPPO has filed over 122,000 patent applications and holds more than 67,000 granted patents globally. OPPO continues to invest in core technology areas including 5G/6G, artificial intelligence, charging, imaging, and video, reinforcing its position as a global leader in innovation and high-value intellectual property.
