  • OPPO and NTT DOCOMO Signed Patent License Agreement

    September 14, 2021, Shenzhen — OPPO announced that it has signed a patent license agreement with NTT DOCOMO, INC. This agreement covers DOCOMO’s WCDMA, LTE and LTE-Advanced Standard Essential Patents.

    “OPPO advocates for a healthy intellectual property ecosystem and resolving patent dispute through amicable negotiations," said Adler Feng, Senior Director of Intellectual Property at OPPO. "We are pleased to reach a license agreement with DOCOMO. The agreement allows us to continue to focus on bringing more innovative products to meet the growing demands from Japanese users.”

    Since entering Japan in 2018, OPPO has launched twenty-one products that include not only smartphones but also a fitness band, and headsets. By reaching a patent license agreement with industry leaders like DOCOMO, OPPO will continue to promote a sustainable and healthy intellectual property ecosystem in the industry.
