OPPO Find X10 Series: A Complete Professional Video Workflow, in Your Pocket

·

More and more professional video is being shot on phones. On set, in the field and in one-person studios, where heavy equipment and a full crew might once have been required, there is now often just the same device we all carry in our pockets filming what might be viewed by millions. But as creators demand greater quality, flexibility and control, the limitations of today's smartphone video workflows are becoming more apparent.

The gaps show up exactly where professionals look for them. Switching from the main camera to the ultra-wide can still result in noticeable differences in image quality, while certain lenses may not support the same recording formats or professional features. And although capabilities such as Log recording are becoming more common, they often remain standalone features rather than part of a complete production workflow. In challenging light, limited dynamic range can also force creators to choose between preserving highlight detail and retaining detail in the shadows.

With Find X10 Series, OPPO addresses those gaps at the system level, delivering greater consistency across cameras, stronger performance in challenging light and more flexibility from capture through post-production. The goal is simple: to turn the phone into a full film set.

Consistent Capture Across Focal Lengths

Video storytelling rarely stays at a single focal length. An ultra-wide view establishes the scale of a location, the main camera brings the audience closer to the action, and telephoto isolates an expression or detail from farther away. On a fast-moving shoot, all three perspectives can appear within the same sequence, making consistency between cameras especially important.

Find X10 Pro Max takes video consistency across focal lengths to a new level. Featuring a Triple 200MP Camera System co-developed with Hasselblad, it is the first OPPO smartphone to support the same recording formats—including 4K 60fps, 4K 120fps and 8K 30fps—across its ultra-wide, main and telephoto cameras. This gives creators greater freedom to switch between perspectives without compromising on resolution or frame rate.

Find X10 also brings advanced video capabilities to its Dual 200MP Camera System, supporting 4K 60fps recording on all three rear cameras, with 4K 120fps Dolby Vision and 8K 30fps recording available on its main and telephoto 200MP cameras.

These capabilities give creators greater freedom both on set and in post-production. 4K 120fps makes it possible to slow fast-moving action down smoothly, and 8K leaves room for tighter crops, reframing and alternative compositions in post-production.

DeepPix: Greater Latitude in Challenging Light

Lighting can change just as quickly as perspective. A subject against a bright window, a face backlit by the setting sun or illuminated signs surrounded by deep shadow can place very different levels of brightness within a single frame. Scenes like these have traditionally forced smartphone cameras into a compromise: expose for the subject and risk losing the background, or hold on to the highlights and leave the shadows too dark.

Find X10 Pro Max tackles that compromise at its source: the pixel itself. In the 200MP Ultra HDR Main Camera, OPPO and Samsung co-developed the new-generation DeepPix technology to re-architect how a pixel handles light.

When light enters a pixel, it is converted into electrons that then need to be stored, transferred and read out. To capture a wider range of brightness in a single frame, the pixel needs to handle more of those electrons without losing information. DeepPix achieves this through three key innovations: Front Deep Trench Isolation (FDTI) increases the photodiode's capacity to store electrons; Dual VTG improves electron transfer efficiency; meanwhile, an enlarged floating diffusion (FD) region provides more capacity to receive and convert the charge into a voltage signal for readout.

With full-well capacity (FWC) increased by 60% over the previous generation, DeepPix enables up to 17 stops of single-frame dynamic range, on par with professional cinema cameras. It also supports single-frame 16-bit HDR, delivering up to four times richer color expression than conventional HDR.

That wider dynamic range becomes especially useful in strong backlight. In a portrait shot against a bright sky, fine detail in the subject's face can remain clearly visible, while the background retains its color and tonal detail. The camera has more room to hold both sides of the exposure in the same frame instead of sacrificing one for the other.

And because DeepPix operates at the underlying pixel architecture level, that extended dynamic range is available by default. There is nothing to switch on, no setting to forget: open the main camera and record up to 4K 60fps in standard video mode, with the full 17-stop dynamic range capability working automatically in the background.

More Freedom from Capture to Post

Beyond consistent capture and stronger performance in challenging light, Find X10 Series gives creators more ways to shape footage both during the shoot and after it.

With Dolby Vision enabled, creators can capture HDR video and preserve a wider range of brightness and color through to the finished footage. For productions that need more room in post, O-Log2 preserves more tonal and color information in a flat profile, with support for 4K 60fps, 4K 120fps and 8K 30fps recording. Real-time LUT preview allows creators to preview their selected look while recording flat Log footage, retaining maximum flexibility for post-production. Alternatively, LUT burn-in lets creators apply the selected look directly to the recorded video, delivering a finished cinematic look straight from the phone without additional color grading.

Find X10 Series also introduces Open Gate Capture to OPPO smartphones for the first time. Recording in 4:3 and using the full imaging area, Open Gate Capture preserves 25% more image area along the long edge and 66% more along the short edge than standard 16:9 video with EIS enabled. That additional frame area leaves room to make composition decisions later. A single take can be reframed for a widescreen YouTube video, adapted for a vertical Reel or Short, or cropped more tightly within a longer edit without having to lock in every framing decision on set.

The Ecosystem: Built for Professional Production

Professional video also depends on everything around the camera: how much control is available on set, what can be monitored during a take, and how easily the footage moves into the tools used later in production.

OPPO has worked closely with Blackmagic Design to optimize the Blackmagic Camera app for Find X10 Series, giving creators access to Blackmagic Camera's cinema-style manual controls and monitoring tools on the device. Frame rate, shutter angle, white balance and ISO can all be adjusted directly, alongside tools including timecode, histogram, audio meters, focus assist and frame guides. The collaboration also brings native Dolby Vision recording to Blackmagic Camera on Android for the first time. Together with support for Open Gate Capture and O-Log2, this gives creators access to key Find X10 Series video capabilities within a familiar professional video environment, helping the phone fit more naturally into established shooting and post-production workflows.

Hardware follows the same logic. OPPO has worked with Tilta to develop a dedicated KHRONOS Creator Kit for Find X10 Pro Max. Designed to expand the phone into a more complete content creation setup, the kit brings together a durable aluminum case, lens adapters, a pocketable tripod and other accessories optimized for Find X10 Pro Max. For longer or more demanding shoots, an active cooling fan helps reduce device temperature during extended video recording, while an additional handle provides a more comfortable grip and helps minimize camera shake. Together, these accessories give creators more flexibility to adapt the phone to different shooting scenarios without adding the bulk of a traditional camera rig.

A More Complete Mobile Production Workflow

From consistent recording across focal lengths and 17-stop dynamic range powered by DeepPix to Open Gate Capture and a growing ecosystem of professional tools, Find X10 Series brings these capabilities together in a more complete mobile production workflow.

Creators can keep their setup light for spontaneous handheld shooting or add the tools and accessories needed for more demanding productions, all while retaining the portability and convenience of a smartphone.
