Aimed at safety and well-being of employees, OPPO India kickstarts the vaccination drive for its employees based out of the Hyderabad R&D centre, in strict implementation of all safety protocols. The programme will cover two shots of the vaccine for all the R&D employees and their two dependents in phases.
The first phase of the voluntary Covid-19 vaccination drive was concluded this week following all necessary protocols to ensure safety of all involved. This is in alignment with OPPO India’s employee well-being programme wherein the brand will be taking care of the vaccination cost for all employees across country. The initiative also covers two dependents of employees, which includes spouses, parents, parents-in-law, eligible children and siblings.
Commenting on the initiative, Tasleem Arif, VP and R&D Head, OPPO India, said, “The fight against COVID 19 is a fierce one and with this vaccination drive we aim to arm the technovators at OPPO India R&D centre with the tools to stay resilient in it. We are extending all possible efforts to get all our employees and their loved ones vaccinated in a safe and seamless manner. The first round of this drive saw a great response from the employees, and we hope to successfully conduct the next drive to ensure all the employees are vaccinated as early as possible. The health and safety of our employees is our topmost priority, and we are taking all the steps necessary to ensure their wellbeing.”
The Covid-19 vaccination drive is in addition to other existing employee wellness initiatives to fight the covid fight. The brand has also collaborated with platforms like Wellness Corner App and Practo providing round the clock medical teleconsultation for Covid and non-covid health issues through specialised doctors at pan India for all employees.
In addition, the brand has also introduced an array of comprehensive relief measures for its team members and their families. The measures include extension of end-to-end COVID care for all their employees as part of the employee well-being program. From providing teleconsultation with doctors, COVID care kit for all the employees paid time off for recovery to Free RT- PCR tests and wellness leaves for employees to take every now and then to look after their well-being, etc. the brand has left no stone unturned to support its employees.
Apart from employees, OPPO also dispatched COVID care kits to the retail chain store owners from National organized trade and Regional organized trade. And have also shared guidelines to agents to distribute the same kits to the OPPO Premier Partners clubs. OPPO is also regularly communicating best practices on health and safety to all its employees.
As an organization that is having a core belief in “Technology for Mankind, Kindness for the World”, OPPO has been working together with different partners to help provide aid across cities in India in these times. Recently the brand distributed 1300 oxygen concentrators across various hospitals in different cities of Uttar Pradesh and the North-east region of India. It also donated 5300 OPPO Band Style to frontline warriors of the Delhi Police, Greater Noida Authority, and Cyberabad Police.
