OPPO Launches Ultra Smooth A79 5G with Stunning Design

Sydney, Australia, 18 January—- OPPO today announced the launch of the new OPPO A79 5G — its latest entry-level A Series smartphone designed to deliver exceptional audio-visual experiences and long-term performance. Featuring a large FHD+ Sunlight Display and upgraded Dual Stereo Speakers, the A79 5G elevates the audio-visual experience. Equipped with 33W SUPERVOOC™ flash charging, a large 5,000mAh battery, an expanded storage configuration, and other enhancements in both hardware and software.

A Remarkable FHD+ Sunlight Display
On the front of the phone, the new A79 5G features a 6.72-inch large FHD+ Sunlight Display with a top-centre punch hole, ensuring a larger screen for enhanced and immersive gaming and audio-visual experience.

The display’s 680 nits peak brightness¹ makes it easy to read text even in the midday sun. On top of this, the high 1080 × 2400 resolution and support for a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut provide substantially enhanced colour saturation and colour accuracy to deliver more impactful visuals with more realistic and vibrant colours.

Upgraded Dual Stereo Speakers with Ultra Volume Mode
To match this outstanding display and deliver a more all-round immersive entertainment experience, the A79 5G is equipped with new Dual Stereo Speakers. Combined with the in-built algorithms, the Dual Stereo Speakers offer optimised noise reduction and echo suppression for clearer calls in any situation. Meanwhile, enhanced surround sound allows for better immersion in entertainment.

Outstanding Photography for Every Occasion
For better imaging experiences, the OPPO A79 5G comes equipped with a powerful camera system comprising a 50MP AI Camera, a 2MP Portrait Camera, and an 8MP Selfie Camera. Using the main camera and its super-resolution algorithms, it’s now possible to capture 108MP Ultra-Clear Images filled with intricate details. Meanwhile, a series of creative imaging features, including AI Portrait Retouching, Portrait Mode, Ultra Night Mode, and Selfie HDR, make it easier to capture stunning portraits in any scenario.

Long-Term Reliability
When it comes to storage, the A79 5G features a 4GB RAM + 128GB ROM configuration. OPPO’s RAM Expansion technology has also been introduced to help temporarily convert free ROM space into a maximum of 4GB of RAM, to enable the phone to run more smoothly at all times.

The A79 5G also boasts a large 5,000mAh battery that can be charged to 100% in about 74 minutes using OPPO’s 33W SUPERVOOC™ flash charge technology. On a single full charge, users can enjoy as many as 26 hours of phone calls, 14 hours of YouTube viewing, or 6 hours of PUBG play. What’s more, only a 5-minute charge is enough for up to 1.4 hours of YouTube video viewing or 2.6 hours of phone calls².

Unique Glowing Feather Design
The A79 5G is available in two stylish colour finishes Glowing Green and Mystery Black. The Glowing Green finish features an exclusive Glowing Feather Design, which uses a special texture to give the phone a dynamic and feather-like touch while creating an exquisite diamond-like appearance.
