OPPO Protection Plan Terms And Conditions
Customer Agreement for OPPO Protection Plan (Hereinafter refer to “Agreement”)
OPPO Protection Plan provides new solutions for your device. OPPO Protection Plan shall eliminate your hassle while you using your device. Please read the terms and conditions carefully before you purchase OPPO Protection Plan. (Customer Agreement for OPPO Protection Plan hereinafter refer to as “Agreement”).
i. Definition:
Terminal device: Terminal device is the product which customer purchases OPPO Protection Plan to cover.
ii. OPPO Protection Plan
1. “Screen Protection Plan”: Screen Protection Plan includes a 12-month offer. Screen Protection Plan can be purchased with the new terminal device or after terminal device purchase within its purchase period. During the effective period, customer is entitled to replace the damaged device screen caused by accidentally broke, crack with the same new screen in OPPO official service center or authorized service center.
Details:
(1).During effective period, OPPO official service center or authorized service center shall replace the broken or cracked screen caused by accident drop, squeeze, and collision with new same one for free by performing the Screen Protection Plan service. (One-Time Maintenance)
(2).Customer is responsible for repair fee of other spare part (not device screen) with functional problems caused by accident damage.
(3).Screen Protection Plan covers device screen, excluding other spare parts, accessories or freebies.
(4).Customer is responsible for repairing damaged spare part (not device screen) which causes failed damaged screen replacement or failed new screen usage before claiming to use Screen Protection Plan service to replace screen.
(5).Customer is unentitled to request the service of Screen Protection Plan for any screen liquid damage without any screen broken, crack etc.
(6).All the damaged parts tore down from terminal device belongs to OPPO Company.
2. “Extended Warranty”: Extended Warranty includes a 6-month offer and a 12-month offer. Extended Warranty is purchased with the new terminal device or after terminal device purchase within its purchase period. Based on the factory warranty period, Extended Warranty extends the original factory period.
Details:
(1).Extended Warranty extends the device factory warranty for 6 or 12 months, covering the device main part.
(2).Extended warranty covers the inner-warranty repair, excluding device return or exchange.
(3).Extended Warranty covers the device main part, excluding the accessories of device cover, charge, USB, earphone, removable battery or freebies.
(4).Customer is unentitled to use Extended Warranty to repair the accident damaged spare parts, or to repair the defective spare part after expiration date.
(5).Extended Warranty will not cover the new spare parts subjected to unauthorized repair.
(6).All the defective parts tore down from terminal device belongs to OPPO Company.
3. “Liquid Protection Plan”: Liquid Protection Plan is a 12-month offer and is not available for purchase. OPPO official service center or authorized service center shall replace the malfunction cellphone part caused by accidental liquid damage with new same one for free by performing the Liquid Protection service within maximum repair fee (One-Time Maintenance). (*Maximum Repair Fee: Liquid Protection service covers maintenance fee, customer should pay the part in excess of the maximum cost.)
Details:
(1).Liquid Protection service only covers spare parts damage caused by liquid intrusion (including but not limited to freshwater, seawater, etc.).
(2).Liquid Protection service does not cover spare parts damage caused by liquid entering the device after parts have already been cracked.
(3).To apply the Liquid Protection service, the device exterior must not show obvious signs of damage, such as dents, cracks, or other external force-related issues.
(4).Liquid Protection Plan offers one-time free maintenance within maximum repair fee equivalent to the device retail price. If the total cost of parts replacement exceeds the limit, the excess amount shall be borne by the user.
(5).If the device screen is broken and has liquid damage at the same time, the user must first pay to replace the screen (or use Screen Protection plan to replace it) before using the Liquid Protection Plan to replace spare parts damaged by liquid intrusion.
(6).All the defective parts tore down from terminal device belongs to OPPO Company.
4. “Value Assurance Upgrade Plan”: During the validity period of Value Assurance Upgrade Plan, original device that has been tested by our OPPO authorized service center and meets our inspection standards will enjoy a trade-in value up to 50% of its official launching retail price(Original device)for purchasing a new device from the same series at the OPPO designated channels.
Details:
(1)Upgrade standards:
a. Normal function, the account has been withdrawn, no password lock;
b. The shell is intact, no bending, breaking or serious bumping off the paint;
c. Internal and external screen intact, display normal without obvious color difference, no broken, cracked or serious creases;
d. No liquid damage, no private repair and dismantling;
(2). The Original device belongs to OPPO Company.
iii. Service Request
During the OPPO Protection Plan effective period, terminal device with screen accident damage or other mechanical problems is entitled to be repaired by following process.
1. Customer may, within the OPPO Protection Plan effective period, utilize the OPPO Protection Plan service to repair the device by taking terminal device, sales receipt, and this “Agreement” to OPPO official service center or authorized service center (OPPO official service center or authorized service center checks OPPO Protection Plan sales record of the device first). Customer fetches the device after repair in OPPO official service center or authorized service center.
2. Customer may, within the OPPO Protection Plan effective period, utilize the OPPO Protection Plan service to repair the device by couriering terminal device, sales receipt, and this “Agreement” to OPPO official service center or authorized service center (OPPO official service center or authorized service center check OPPO Protection Plan sales record of the device first). OPPO official service center or authorized service center send the device after repair to customer.
Key Takeaway:Customer shall ensure the device data is fully backed up before repair. OPPO official service center or authorized service center will not be responsible for the device data loss or damage.
iv. OPPO Protection Plan Effective Period
1. Customer may purchase Screen Protection Plan with new device in OPPO online shop, Screen Protection Plan will be effective from the date of parcel received and be expired in 6 months or 12 months.
2. Customer may purchase Screen Protection Plan with new device or after device purchase in OPPO offline shop, Screen Protection Plan will be effective from the date of purchase and will be expired in 6 months or 12 months.
3. Customer may purchase Extended Warranty in OPPO online or offline shop. Extended Warranty will be effective from the date after factory warranty expiration date and be expired in 6 months or 12 months.
4. Value Assurance Upgrade Plan will be effective from the date of purchase and will be expired in 15 months.
v. Maintenance Notice
1. All damaged or defective spare part tore down from terminal device, and old devices traded in using the plan belongs to OPPO Company, being dealing by OPPO official service center or authorized service center.
2. OPPO official service center or authorized service center technician verifies terminal device and information provided by customer before repair. The OPPO Protection Plan service will be performed according to the terms and conditions.
3. Screen Protection Plan offers one-time screen replacement. Once Screen Protection Plan service is used, this agreement terminates.
4.liquid Protection Plan offers one-time damage caused by liquid. Once liquid Protection Plan service is used, this agreement terminates.
5. Extended Warranty offers unlimited usage. Extended Warranty is expired, the agreement terminates.
6. Value Assurance Upgrade Plan offers one-time screen replacement. Once Value Assurance Upgrade Plan service is used, this agreement terminates.
vi. Exemption clause
1. Customer’s terminal device is not able to be verified whether being covered by OPPO Protection Plan due to incomplete IMEI or different recorded IMEI.
2. The Customer who purchases OPPO Protection Plan, and the customer or representatives who is entitled to enjoy OPPO Protection Plan service commit any deliberate, serious crime.
3. Political action or business action such as manufacturer recalls product, social media exposes product with defect or any product quality problems etc.
4. Cosmetic damage due to normal wear and tear, natural ageing, or dust, condensation, cold, hot or other reasons, including but not limited to scratch, delacquering, rust, cracking etc.
5. Damaged Terminal device (if any perforation, crash, spare part incomplete or separation) cannot be repaired.
6. The normal wear and tear of terminal device, loss of accessories including but not limiting to earphone, SD card, charger, USB, pen etc.
7. Any indirect or incidental loss of the customer who is entitled to enjoy OPPO Protection Plan.
8. Terminal device functional problems due to system problem or software problem caused by software virus.
9. Deterioration of the terminal device due to man-made damage on purpose. Loss of terminal device caused by theft or other reason.
10. Terminal device is with performance failure during in-warranty period.
11. Deterioration or loss of device due to event of force majeure such as war, hostile behavior, army action, armed conflict, strike, any riot, terrorist activities, and any natural disasters including but not limited to hurricane, flood, earthquake, volcano eruption, tsunami, nuclear reaction or nuclear radiation etc.
12. Damage or loss of the device spare part or any data due to unauthorized teardown, repair in unauthorized service center.
13. Customer requires to use the service after expiration date.
14. Any value reduction after repair.
15. Any financial loss or personal injury due to your device.
vii. Purchase Policy:
1. Customer is entitled to buy same kind OPPO Protection Plan for one time.
2. Customer is entitled to buy OPPO Protection Plan for terminal device which is intact without any damage.
viii.Agreement termination, OPPO Protection Plan return or transfer
Customer Agreement may terminate if:
1. OPPO Protection Plan is expired;
2. Terminal device is repaired, tore down, exchanged by unauthorized party.
3. Customer rents, borrows OPPO Protection Plan to others, or frauds.
4. Customer damages the terminal device covered by OPPO Protection Plan deliberately or frauds.
5. Customer requests using the service and it was already performed.
ix. Return and Refund
1. OPPO Protection Plan purchased in OPPO official service center is not allowed to return without return device.
2. Customer returns OPPO Protection Plan in the sales channel where purchase it.
x. Exchange and Transfer
1. Terminal device is bound with OPPO Protection Plan which is not possible to be transferred to another device without device exchange.
2. OPPO Protection Plan will be transferred to another new same kind terminal device after the old terminal device is exchanged within transfer period, commencement date of OPPO Protection Plan remains the same.
3. After using the Value Assurance Upgrade Plan, the plan on the old device will not transfer to the new device.
