During a horseback ride to the top of a mountain in early March in Hemu Village, Xinjiang, the photographer noticed that the horse was sweating from running and had ice on its fur. He stopped and observed that its eyes were very clear in the cold, so clear that he was able to see his silhouette in them.

Description
This picture was taken at the Yalong Glacier, a part of the Lhegu Glacier, in the upper reaches of Ranwu Lake in Basu County, Chamdo City, Xizang (formerly Tibet) Autonomous Region. The photographer was deeply attracted by the blue color after crossing several crevasses. The surface of the glacier in summer is mixed with sediment and is not very white, while the blue melt water flows through and erodes the pure white ice underneath, creating a strong contrast of movement and color.
