OPPO ColorOS 12 wins four design awards at the Red Dot Awards: Brands & Communication Design 2022
SINGAPORE, 12 August 2022 – OPPO ColorOS 12 has won four design awards at the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design Awards for 2022, recognising the pioneering design of its operations system ColorOS12 with OPPO SANS Fonts, O Relax app, OMOJI, and the Two-Finger Split Screen function.
OPPO Sans -2022 Red Dot Winner
OPPO SANS is an exclusive font designed by OPPO, which is available in 21 countries and in 11 different languages. The visual optimisation ranges from the font’s structure to its glyphs. Subtle optimisation like simplifying strokes also make the overall shape of the font more concise and elegant. These updates enable OPPO to establish a technology presence globally and allows the company to strengthen its legibility in a variety of screen displays across different products.
O Relax-Cities -2022 Red Dot Winner
O Relax is OPPO's digital wellbeing application that offers soothing, ambient nature and city sounds to help your mind relax and unwind. The spotlight audio, Sounds of the City, is meant to transport listeners to different countries around the world, and offers users high-quality ambiance sounds, authentically captured from locations around the globe, such as Reykjavik, Beijing, and Tokyo. Each clip presents a distinctive sound, from lively sounds such as the hustling and bustling sounds of a busy city to the calming and quiet sounds like wind and rain. This builds an environment, on the sole basis of sounds, that immerses its listeners into a gentle and calming experience.
Omoji - 2022 Red Dot Winner
OMOJI, from ColorOS 12, is supported by OPPO's industry-leading Face Capture algorithm that enables high precision models of expression. Users can customise unique emoji that fits their personal style, with 52 core facial expressions and over 200 stylistic elements.
Two-Finger Split Screen – 2022 Red Dot Winner
ColorOS 12 tailored the "Two-Finger Split Screen" function to further enhance the user’s experience of using the 7.1-inch large screen of OPPO's first folding screen mobile phone, Find N. Simply swipe your fingers down the middle of the foldable screen with two fingers, the screen display will be instantly split into two. Such design is both naturally intuitive to users and easy to understand.
The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious of all international design competitions. Winning such awards recognises OPPO’s world-class design capabilities. In the future, OPPO aims to continue to deliver the most comfortable user experience through their ColorOS.
