New OPPO campaign seeks to #AwakenColour with the latest Find X3 Pro
The #AwakenColour campaign unveils OPPO’s latest flagship smartphone and its first-ever photography exhibition at ArtScience Museum
11 March 2021, SINGAPORE – Leading global smart device provider OPPO has today announced the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the OPPO Find X3 Pro, with a new campaign that seeks to #AwakenColour for consumers here in Singapore by unlocking their senses to a new spectrum of colours and bringing to life rich, visual experiences.
Built on the success of the Find X2 Pro, the new OPPO Find X3 Pro combines the Find X series’ sophisticated human-centric design with that of OPPO’s best-in-class technology. Users of the Find X3 Pro will get to experience OPPO’s revolutionary 10-bit Full-path Colour Management System, allowing them to awaken colour and see the world with a true billion colour point of view. With this technology, photos and videos taken using the Find X3 Pro are more vibrant and true-to-life.
Awakening senses with the ‘Painting with Light’ exhibition
As part of the #AwakenColour campaign, OPPO has also announced at an exclusive launch preview today its first-ever photography exhibition, ‘Painting With Light’. Held at ArtScience Museum and taking place from 10 April to 16 May 2021, the photography exhibition will showcase works captured using the 10-bit colour depth of the Find X3 Pro by four esteemed local photographers – Wilfred Lim, Venus Oh, Kimberly Kiong and Adele Chan, Editor-in-Chief of NYLON Singapore.
Working with these photographers takes OPPO’s long-term commitment of supporting creatives through the brand’s signature OPPO Maker initiative a step further. Since the launch of the OPPO Maker initiative during the OPPO Reno2 campaign, OPPO has collaborated with the likes of filmmakers and musicians, mainly for its Reno series’ campaigns. The collaboration with the local photographers for the #AwakenColour this time round extends the initiative to OPPO’s Find series.
Promising an eye feast for visitors, the ‘Painting With Light’ exhibition explores the use of angles in photography, at an aerial, macro and eye-level. Through the photos captured by the local photographers from these various photograph angles, visitors will get to witness the mesmerising colour palettes of Singapore for the first time, brought out by the lens of the OPPO FindX3 Pro.
Wilfred Lim, who has the Noise Singapore Awards (Photography) to his name, shared, “As a photographer, working with colours has always been important to me and I’m always looking for ways to bring out colours in the best way possible in my photographs. It is an honour to have been selected as one of the photographers working with OPPO Singapore on this #AwakenColour campaign and to showcase the different colours of Singapore at the ‘Painting With Light’ exhibition.
“Using the new OPPO Find X3 Pro has been revolutionary for my works. The colours of the photos that I have captured using the phone are not only vibrant and crisp, but true to what we see in real life – definitely awakening our senses to a wider range of colours.”
Beyond just the works of the local photographers, the ‘Painting with Light’ exhibition will also feature works from the community.
Between 5 and 10 March, OPPO allowed the public to sign up for an opportunity to trial the OPPO Find X3 Pro, and join OPPO and the local photographers in discovering the colour palettes of Singapore. Out of these sign-ups, a total of 20 of them will be selected for the consumer trial, which will last for two weeks.
Each of the consumer trial participants will be required to share the images they captured using the Find X3 Pro on their social media platforms. Following which, one of them will be chosen as the winner, walking away with a Find X3 Pro. Images from this winner, along with a few more by other participants specially identified, will also be displayed digitally at the photography exhibition at ArtScience Museum.
