Alex Honnold defies science and defines the impossible. Climbing since of the age of five, Alex has never believed that he is naturally gifted. Rather, it is his tireless work ethic that has propelled him to the top of the climbing world.

After dropping out of University to pursue his passion further, he bought a secondhand Ford Econoline van in 2007 to take with him on his climbing adventures. In the next few years, he free-soloed iconic routes in Yosemite, Zion and the Regular Northwest Face of Half Dome, leading legendary climber Peter Croft to label it the best ropeless climb ever attempted.
Alex isn’t a materialist – he lived in a van for a decade, trading comfort for conquering cliffs. His use of the OPPO Find X2, is not one based on an obsession with technology but on an infatuation with self-improvement.

With its ultra clear night camera, anti-shake technology and hybrid zoom, the Find X2 is there as a climbing companion to document Alex’s ascents in all conditions. Depending on the ambient light, it even adjusts the colour temperature of the screen, making maps readable in all conditions.
