OPPO Wows KLPF with a two meter long Photo taken with the OPPO F1s


Kuala Lumpur, Oct. 7, 2016 — OPPO, the ever-evolving global smartphone brand, recently partnered with Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival (KLPF) to showcase a special exhibition titled “The Nature of Beauty World”, which featured exquisite photographs captured by renowned professional photographers and young photography enthusiasts from different universities using the rear camera of the newly launched OPPO F1s.

Held as part of the Kuala Lumpur Photography Festival (KLPF), which starts from today until 10 October 2016 at Level 15, KWC Kenanga Wholesale City, No. 2, Jalan Gelugor, Kuala Lumpur, a total of 40 photographs taken with the OPPO F1s by renowned photographers Kim Teoh, Jessica Chan, Wong Kim Kiat, Camel King (Kong Yuk Loong) and Ashraf Saharudin; Malaysian personalities, Nora Danish and Ayda Jebat; and university students were featured. One of the photograph being taken with OPPO F1s’ rear camera in Expert mode, HDR mode and Ultra HD mode has even been printed into a 2m x 1.2m size photograph to showcase F1s’ professional image quality.

Earlier in September, OPPO has selected 10 top students from 4 universities (UCSI University, INTI International University, Dasein Academy of Art and The One Academy) to participate in the exclusive camera phone workshop and 1-day outdoor shooting in Malacca with renowned professional photographers. Photographs being taken by students using OPPO F1s during the trip have been submitted for the contest. The winner of the contest, Joseph Chong Jin Darb from UCSI University attended the opening of the exhibition and has been awarded with an OPPO F1s and cash award to further his journey in photography.

“OPPO always strive to encourage creativity among youth. We have worked closely with renowned professional photographers such as Jessica Chan and Kevin Ng, to aspire and inspire the young photography enthusiasts to always look from a different perspectives, and to share with them that a great work doesn’t always require professional camera equipment with exorbitant price. This is also a great opportunity for us to re-shape consumers’ perspective on our F1s, that is not only a Selfie Expert with a 16MP front-camera, it is also a great rear camera shooter with matured Pure Image 4.0 techniques,” she added.

An exclusive workshop for OPPO fans and photography enthusiasts was also held in conjunction with the exhibition. Led by renowned professional photographers, Jessica Chan and Kevin Ng, the workshop provided tips, techniques and insights on taking professional level photographs using advanced smartphones like the OPPO F1s.

“Mobile photography is now a worldwide phenomenal.
