OPPO, an ever evolving and leading global technology brand is doing its bit for the society with its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative campaign – “Gift Beautiful City”. As a part of this initiative OPPO associated with Bollywood celebrities – Parineeti Chopra, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ayushmann Khurrana. Jacqueline and Ayushmann encouraged people to keep their cities beautiful by painting a graffiti wall in Bangalore and Gurgaon whereas Parineeti encouraged fans by painting a School van in Mumbai. OPPO will be donating INR 2 lakh to 3 NGOs across the cities - VIDYA Integrated Development for Youth and Adults (Gurgaon), Doorstep School (Mumbai) and Parikrama Foundation (Bangalore) who are part of this initiative and work towards education of the less privileged children.

The campaign by OPPO aims to highlight that the beauty of a city lies within the hands of its residents and all it takes to keep the city looking pleasing and clean is a little effort. By associating with various NGOs across the three cities, OPPO wants to expand horizons and spread awareness among the youth to protect the environment, keep it clean and beautiful. Engaging youth in environmental protection creates direct impact on changing youth behaviours and attitudes. With the celebrities OPPO wants to leverage an influential voice to spread the message of “ Gift Beautiful City” across the audience.

“Gift Beautiful City campaign is an initiative by OPPO to widen their focus on the society initiatives and create an impact on the society while doing their bit for city welfare. With this campaign we would like to reach out to the youth, educate them, spread awareness about how important it is to keep one’s city beautiful and clean as they are the future generation who will build a beautiful world. The event began in Gurgaon with Ayushmann Khurrana meeting and greeting the audiences at the venue, post which he contributed to the painting of the wall along with the kids from the NGO. Ayushmann Khurrana also donated a cheque of INR 2 lakhs to VIDYA Integrated Development for Youth and Adults on behalf of OPPO. On this association Ayushmann Khurrana said, “It feels great to be associated with a social awareness activity and giving my contribution to the betterment of the society. OPPO is doing a great job with this initiative.”  

Likewise, Parineeti Chopra also made her contribution and donated the cheque of INR 2 lakh on behalf of OPPO towards the noble cause of gifting a beautiful City in Mumbai to Doorstep School. On this occasion, Parineeti Chopra said, “A beautiful city is the best possible gift for the residents of Mumbai and OPPO’s initiative will most definitely awaken and help people realise their responsibility of keeping their city clean.”

By contributing to the beautiful city campaign, Jacqueline Fernandez donated an amount of INR 2 lakh to the Parikrama Foundation on behalf of OPPO for the betterment of the environment and society and shared her thoughts, “It feels great to be doing my bit for the city. Amongst all the chaos in our lives, doing something to make the city beautiful gives me immense calm and peace! Thank you OPPO for the great opportunity!”
