How to sync contacts to Android on OPPO

If you've bought a new OPPO smartphone, you don't have to enter your contacts manually.

Whether your old phone is an iPhone, Android phone or another device, read this easy guide to find out all the different ways to transfer contacts to your new OPPO phone so you'll be ready to go!

Applicable for all OPPO smartphones.

Important: You will need to be connected to Wi-Fi or a mobile network to sync contacts over a connection. Check that both your phones have enough battery life, as the transfer could take some time if you have a lot of contacts and data to sync. Restarting or turning off either device will interrupt the transfer.

Sync contacts to Android using Google

If your old phone was also an OPPO phone or another Android phone, the easiest way to sync contacts from Android to Android is through your Google account. Here's how:

1. On your old phone, swipe left to go to Settings.

2. Open Accounts & sync (or Users & accounts on some phones).

3. Select Google from the list.

4. Tap Sync now or Account sync.

5. Select Contacts. You can also select any other data you want to backup from Android to OPPO.

5. On your new OPPO phone, go to Settings > Accounts & sync.

6. Select Google.

7. Your contacts and any other data you selected will now be synced to your new phone. If you have a lot of contacts or data to copy, this process could take a while.

Transfer contacts to Android using the OPPO Cloud

If your old phone is also an OPPO phone, you can copy contacts between devices using the OPPO Cloud (O-Cloud). To do this:

3. Select Contacts to upload your phone contacts to your OPPO Cloud. You can also choose to copy your SMS messages.

4. On your new phone, launch OPPO Cloud and sign in.

5. Download your contacts from the cloud to your phone. They should now show up in your Contacts app.

Sync contacts using a third party app

Finally, you can also search the Google Play Store to find specialised apps designed to sync and backup contacts on Android. However, some apps may not be compatible with every device and may put your privacy and security at risk if you download an app from an untrustworthy source.
